Cup Noodles Is Bringing Chicken Wing Flavors To Instant Ramen

  • Cup Noodles has launched three new football snack–inspired flavors, available exclusively at Walmart for $1.18 each.
  • Each flavor reimagines classic chicken wing seasonings with “all of the flavor, none of the mess,” offering bold, saucy flavor without the cleanup.
  • The brand continues its creative streak with these limited-time offerings, following past hits such as Thanksgiving Dinner, Pumpkin Pie, and Ramen Bistro flavors.

We’re a few weeks away from the big game, but one brand is already aiming for a spot in your Friday night football lineup.

Cup Noodles is hitting the market with three new flavors this month, all inspired by America’s favorite saucy gameday appetizer. (But no messy fingers or hours of prep work.) Starting this January, you’ll have your pick of Spicy Buffalo with Ranch, Lemon Pepper, and Garlic Parmesan noodles for all your late-night snacking needs — and they’re all easy to find at your local Walmart.

Each flavor aims to deliver “all of the flavor, none of the mess,” as Cup Noodles explains in the announcement. You can find them on Walmart shelves for $1.18 starting this month, but the brand warns they’ll be available only while supplies last.

As for those new flavors? It kicks off with Spicy Buffalo with Ranch, a spin on the classic chicken wing recipe. Cup Noodles says it packs “bold buffalo heat” with a cooling side of “creamy, herby ranch flavor” — just like dipping those fire-hot wings into buttermilk ranch or blue cheese dressing. Another option is the Lemon Pepper, which recreates the citrusy flavors of this popular dry rub with a kick of garlic, onion, and pepper. And finally, the Garlic Parmesan flavor promises an all-around cheesy flavor with Italian herbs and a touch of tanginess.

“We’re not just launching new Cup Noodles flavors; we’re ending the saucepocalypse by reimagining game day’s messiest tradition,” Priscila Stanton, senior vice president of marketing at Nissin Food, tells Food & Wine. “Arriving just in time for the Big Game, Cup Noodles Wings’ three limited-time flavors capture all the craveable wing flavors fans love, none of the halftime cleanup.”

For a true touchdown, round out this meal with grilled chicken or your wings of choice. (And when in doubt, you can always slurp it on its own as a midnight snack.)

Cup Noodles certainly doesn’t hold back when it comes to flavor innovation. Where should we start? They’ve tackled the full flavors of breakfast spreads and campfire s’ sthen everything bagels and, yes, even dill pickles.

True to last year’s biggest nutrition trends, there’s a high-protein version made with bone broth. The decades-old brand’s development team seems to be on a holiday kick this winter — around Thanksgiving, Cup Noodles launched Thanksgiving Dinner and the ever-controversial Pumpkin Pie flavors. Premium eats are evidently also on the budget-friendly brand’s radar, as three Ramen Bistro flavors (Japanese Miso, Sichuan Garlic Chicken, and Korean Gochujang Beef) recently landed online and in stores.
