Anghami to Exclusively Stream Amr Diab’s Songs

Wide controversy erupted after all the songs of famous Egyptian singer Amr Diab were removed from online platforms such as YouTube, Spotify, and iTunes, only for it to be revealed last Thursday that all his music will be exclusively available on Anghami platform.

Diab or “El-Hadaba” as nicknamed by his fans, stated in a press release that he chose Anghami because it is a global platform that is proudly showcasing Arab culture to the world, saying “I share Anghami’s vision in developing strong local talent and making their voice heard globally,” expressing his excitement about the new venture.

“This partnership doesn’t stop here, as it is the beginning of a much bigger strategic collaboration with Anghami; together we will make some noise,” Diab added.

With all of the new and upcoming releases of the top listened to Arab singer, Diab agreed that all of his future music will also be exclusively on Anghami, which claims to have 75 million registered subscribers.

Diab is Anghami Arabic’s most-listened-to artist of 2021 across all countries, with his album ‘Ya Ana Ya La’ being the most streamed album of the year, while his earlier album, ‘Sahran’, coming in third place.

The singer has over 30 albums and a huge collection of regional and international awards. He has kept his wide fan-base growing throughout his four-decade career, transcending generations each season.

Diab has proved that his music style is still commercially successful since the 1980s, continuing to attract young audiences to his pop music to this day.

He has established himself as an acclaimed artist and author in the Arab region.

In 2014, he became the first Egyptian and Middle Eastern performer to reach the top of the Billboard World Albums Charts with his album ‘Shoft Al-Ayam.
